DESCRIPTION: Alaskan Amber is made from glacier-fed water and a generous blend of the finest quality European and Pacific Northwest hop varieties and premium two-row pale and specialty malts. Alaskan water originates in the 1,500 square-mile Juneau Ice Field and the more than 90 inches of rainfall we receive each year. Alt - The name of this beer style comes from the German word "alt" meaning "old". This refers to the aging that alts undergo since they ferment more slowly and at colder temperatures than most ales. Slow fermentation helps condition the flavors in Alaskan Amber, contributing to its overall balance and smoothness. DESCRIPTION: The Chimay Triple (white cap) on tap is enjoyed in a Chimay beer goblet specially planned for the cask. The Chimay Triple is an authentic Trappist beer brewed within the walls of a Trappist monastery by monks with the method of double fermentation. A first fermentation develops in the vat. The second takes place spontaneously in the heart of the cask, once it is filled and kept in the fermentation cellar for at least 21 days. This second fermentation permits the fulfilment of the entire equilibrium necessary among the aromas, alcohol, and unctuous foam. Fruity touches of muscat and dried raisins. A great freshness followed by a pleasant bitter aftertaste.
